Zombie Cat asked:

I can’t seem to find my hermit crab water conditioner, but I’ve got this big bottle of fish tank conditioner. Is it basically the same stuff or should I hold off until I can get to the pet store again?
They make hermit crab water conditioner but it’s like 4 times the price as aquarium conditioner. Yup, I have the salt water, too. Thanks!

Sorry no answer to your question..

Yes you can. As long as it doesn’t stimulate slime coat. I have yet to see a product made just for hermit crabs. But most products make ” Just for hermit crabs” are usually really bad for them. I use a Doc Wellfish product.
as long as it removes chlorine and heavy metals it should be fine.

make sure you have fresh and salt water too. most pet stores sell aquarium salt.

Edit: If it is more expensive then the fish or reptile conditioners use the cheaper one. They are all the same just make sure they are not specialized for fish scales, reptile scales or shedding animals.

    happy crabbing
